JPSC Civil Services Exam Pattern

JPSC Civil Services Exam Pattern: Jharkhand Public Service Commission’s (JPSC) Civil Services Combined Competitive Exam Pattern details are mentioned below…

1. Scheme of Examination: 

The Combined Competitive Examination will be held in three successive stages-

I. Preliminary Examination (Multiple Choice Objective Type)
II. Main Examination (Written & Interview)
III. Personality Test

I. Preliminary Examination:– Preliminary examination will consists of two papers with Multiple Choice Objective Type Questions, Duration 2-2 hours for each paper, Paper-I (General Studies), Paper-II (General Studies) each paper carries 100 marks.

Note: Preliminary Competitive Exam will consists of Multiple Choice & Objective Type questions. The question paper will be in Devanagari and Roman script.

II. Main Examination:- The candidates who qualify in preliminary examination, can attend for Main Examination. There are three subjects, i.e General Hindi carries 100 marks, General Studies Question Paper -1 carries 200 marks and General Studies Question Paper -2 carries 200 marks. The scheme of main examination is as follows-

03. General Studies Question Paper -2 200

Note: General Hindi marks will not be added to Written Test & Personality test but those who did not get 30% marks in General Hindi are not eligible for Written Examination.

III. Personality Test: Those who qualified in Main Examination will be called for Personality Test of 200 marks.

I. Syllabus for Preliminary Examination:

1. General Studies Paper-I:-
i. History of India and Indian National Movement.
ii. India and World Geography.
iii. Indian Polity and Economy.
iv. History, Geography, Economy and Culture of Jharkhand.

2. General Studies Paper-II:
i. General Science.
ii. General Mental Ability.
iii. Current Events of State, National and International Importance.

Selection Procedure: Jharkhand Civil Services Combined Competitive Exam Selection Procedure will consists of the following stages.

1. Preliminary Examination

Preliminary examination will consists of two papers with Multiple Choice Objective Type Questions, Duration 2-2 hours for each paper, Paper-I (General Studies), Paper-II (General Studies) each paper carries 100 marks. Those who qualified in Main Examination will be called for Personality Test. Personality test will be conducted for 200 marks.
