Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday, 19 October launched the Mission School of Excellence in a program organized at Adalaj, Gandhinagar, Gujarat. This mission has been specifically launched in Gujarat to strengthen education through setting up of new classrooms, smart classrooms, computer laboratories and schools infrastructure in the state. Around 20,000 teachers and school management committee members from Gujarat participated in the event.

Addressing the event, PM Modi announced an upcoming project worth Rs 5,567 crore. He said that these projects would be taken up in different phases. He also talked about his government’s many achievements, including the launch of 5G networks, and the development of a robust education system under NEP 2020.
The Prime Minister said that 5G service will take our education system to the next level. For this, Gujarat has taken the first step in the country through Mission School of Excellence. He advocated the use of local languages to ensure that people uncomfortable with English were not left behind. PM Modi said that earlier knowledge of English was considered a sign of being educated and intelligent. But now things have completely changed.
